Are you a skilled machinist with a knack for precision and an eye for detail? We are currently seeking a highly experienced Manual Machinist to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the creation and modification of custom parts and assemblies, ensuring that all work meets the high standards of quality and precision that our company is known for. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Manual Machinist in our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications to determine sequence of operations, setup requirements, and optimal methods of fabrication.
2. Operating a variety of manual machines such as lathes, mills, drills, and grinders to produce high-quality parts and assemblies.
3. Performing complex setup and alignment of parts using precision measurement tools.
4. Inspecting and verifying the dimensions of parts using micrometers, verniers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving machining problems during the production process, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds specified tolerances.
6. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company policies and safety regulations.
7. Collaborating with team members and other departments to improve processes, enhance quality, and meet production deadlines.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manual Machinist in a manufacturing or production environment.
2. Proficiency in operating manual machines such as lathes, mills, drills, and grinders.
3. Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials.
4. Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
6. Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
7. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
8. A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
9. A high school diploma or equivalent, with a trade certification in Machining or a related field being a strong asset.
