Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
2. Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and complex production systems, including robotic work cells.
3. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
4. Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
5. Implement Lean, Poka Yoke, and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure quality output.
6. Coordinate with design engineering on product changes to ensure smooth transition and production ramp up.
7. Design and develop tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.
8. Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of new designs and processes into manufacturing.
9. Assist with the training of manufacturing personnel in new or updated procedures.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry.
3. Proficient understanding of Lean, Poka Yoke, and Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Proven experience in designing tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve manufacturing processes.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve beyond routine issues.
8. Proficient with CAD software and other engineering tools.
9. Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems is a plus.
10. Must be authorized to work in the designated country.
