Responsibilities:
What you need for this position:
- Drive efficiency and eliminate waste, ensuring continuous improvement in the plant and warehouse/shipping department.
- Identify automation needs, research equipment vendors, negotiate terms, and spearhead projects within budget and timelines.
- Lead a team of Kaizen associates to identify bottlenecks, collect and analyze data, implement corrective actions, and evaluate process changes.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data for performance measurement, identifying areas for improvement and developing target areas for product and process enhancement.
- Design, develop, or source machinery and equipment for automation and manufacturing methods, justifying costs for efficient operations.
- Work on improving manufacturing processes for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and efficiency gains, developing and implementing innovative solutions.
- Create and maintain standard work for all manufacturing and warehouse processes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Stay updated on technological advancements by researching and attending workshops, bringing innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.
What you need for this position:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
- 3+ years of project completion in a manufacturing plant or warehouse operation.
- Proven project management skills, including scheduling, risk management, and effective presentation abilities.
- Strong skills in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen event facilitation, Process Modeling, Value Stream Mapping & analysis, Statistical Methods, Root Cause Analysis, Time Studies, and Automation.
- Knowledge in Ergonomics & Human Factors, Capacity Planning, Operation Plans, and workplace layouts.
- Proficient in data collection and analysis, SAP cloud analytics, BI experience, and familiarity with PLC and automation programming (a plus).
- Occasional domestic travel required (less than 10% of the time).
