Job Details

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with process optimization, workflow analysis, and production efficiency improvements.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques such as 5 Why, Fishbone, or similar problem-solving methods.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation, and production processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common engineering software. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in metal fabrication, sheet metal manufacturing, stamping, welding, or commercial building products.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with CAD software and manufacturing process design.
  • Familiarity with capital equipment projects and facility improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects using tools such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Analyze production data to identify opportunities to reduce downtime, scrap, and manufacturing costs.
  • Design, improve, and document manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Evaluate and implement new equipment, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Work closely with production supervisors, maintenance, quality, and operations teams to solve manufacturing issues.
  • Support new product launches by developing efficient production methods.
  • Lead process validation activities and ensure manufacturing processes are repeatable and reliable.
  • Drive workplace safety improvements and ensure engineering solutions support a safe work environment.
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation while meeting budget and timeline goals.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance when needed.
