Job Details
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer – Assembly & Test to support its high-precision electronics manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for driving quality improvements throughout the assembly and test manufacturing process while ensuring products consistently meet customer, engineering, and regulatory quality requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations, Production, and Supply Chain teams to identify quality issues, perform root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and improve overall manufacturing performance. This position plays a critical role in reducing defects, increasing first-pass yield, supporting new product introductions, and maintaining world-class manufacturing quality standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience within semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, or another high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing quality systems, quality engineering principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading root cause investigations using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone Analysis, and FMEA.
- Hands-on experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk), and data-driven quality improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
- Experience supporting New Product Introductions (NPI), manufacturing transfers, and production ramp activities.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-600 industry standards for electronics assembly and inspection.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, manufacturing documentation, and quality requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Production teams.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment with a focus on improving quality, reducing defects, and increasing production yield.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other quality-related certification.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
- Previous experience supporting semiconductor assembly and test manufacturing operations.
