We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our progressive team in the energy industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of various mechanical systems related to our energy production and distribution processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative projects that contribute to the future of energy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of engineering design projects in the energy sector, particularly involving pipelines and terminals.
• Utilize your expertise in hydraulic systems to design and optimize energy generation and distribution systems.
• Conduct reliability analysis of mechanical systems to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Develop and interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall project designs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering and energy production technologies.
• Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization’s established policies and objectives.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. A Master's degree or professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the energy industry, with a focus on engineering design, pipeline systems, terminals, and hydraulic systems.
• Proven experience in reliability analysis and the development and interpretation of PFDs and P&IDs.
• Strong technical skills, with a thorough understanding of engineering principles and technologies.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a knack for thinking creatively to overcome engineering challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-engineers.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.
