We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the overall reliability and safety of our mechanical systems and operations. You will be working in a fast-paced, technologically advanced environment where innovation, precision, and analytical skills are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for:
1. Leading and supervising the reliability engineering team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
2. Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs based on the principles of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
3. Conducting root cause analysis of mechanical failures, developing corrective actions, and overseeing their implementation.
4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant quality assurance (QA) standards and regulations.
5. Collaborating with design engineers to optimize the reliability and performance of new mechanical systems.
6. Providing technical expertise in the area of mechanical reliability to other departments and stakeholders as required.
7. Conducting reliability studies and risk assessments, and developing strategies to manage identified risks.
8. Overseeing the refining process to ensure optimal efficiency and reliability.
9. Continuously monitoring and evaluating the performance of mechanical systems, and recommending improvements as necessary.
10. Staying updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and reliability techniques, and incorporating these into our practices.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. A Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Energy industry.
3. Profound knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), quality assurance (QA), and refining processes.
4. Proven experience as a Design Engineer, with a strong portfolio of successful mechanical design projects.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
7. Proficient in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, concise manner.
9. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
10. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
