Job Details

Litigation Focus Includes:

  • Collections (incl. post-judgment)
  • Landlord/Tenant (landlord-side only)
  • Defamation, Guardianship
  • Commercial & Consumer Litigation
  • HOA, Real Estate & Fiduciary Disputes
  • Lemon Law, Employment (case-dependent)
  • Personal Injury

Duties:

  • Serve as primary liaison for client communication and case support in civil litigation matters
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and court filings in Virginia Circuit and General District Courts
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, including process servers, court reporters, and experts
  • Supervise legal assistants and delegate tasks to ensure workflow efficiency
  • Monitor case deadlines and manage calendaring to ensure timely task completion
  • Provide regular updates to clients on case developments and timelines
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and maintain high-quality work standards

Looking For:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
  • Some experience with any of the above cases
  • Proficient in drafting pleadings, handling discovery, preparing court filings, and managing client relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of Virginia state court procedures and filing protocols
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Technologically proficient with Google Workspace, Microsoft Word/Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience supervising legal support staff is preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail, self-motivated, and committed to client service
