The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) that meet the technical and functional requirements of our cutting-edge products. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with a team of engineers and technicians to develop and implement design strategies that enhance product performance, durability, and overall functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Design and layout complex, multi-layer PCBs using CAD tools, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industry standards.
- Generate and maintain PC board Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage proto processing.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to define PCB design parameters and requirements.
- Implement and manage electro/mechanical components and drafting methods within the design process.
- Oversee PCB fabrication processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of PCB designs, documenting results and making necessary modifications to enhance performance.
- Ensure all PCB designs meet the required safety and environmental standards.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest PCB design methodologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior PCB designers and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in PCB design, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for PCB design and layout.
- Demonstrated experience with PC board BOM, proto processing, electro/mechanical components, and drafting methods.
- Extensive knowledge of PCB fabrication processes and industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
