Senior Production Planner / Master Planner - Food Manufacturing

We’re hiring a hands-on, detail-driven Senior Production Planner to lead production and inventory planning in a fast-paced, regulated food manufacturing environment. You’ll own the scheduling process, manage materials, and collaborate across departments to ensure we meet demand efficiently and on time.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand.
  • Release and adjust production work orders based on material availability and shifting priorities.
  • Coordinate raw materials and inventory for both make-to-stock and make-to-order products.
  • Analyze production data using Excel (pivot tables, formulas, what-if models).
  • Maintain ERP accuracy (BOMs, routings, inventory levels).
  • Collaborate daily with Procurement, Operations, QA, Sales, R&D, and Logistics.
  • Support process improvements, lean initiatives, and better planning tools.

Must-Haves
  • 5+ years of production planning/scheduling in food or regulated manufacturing.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power Query, VBA, or SQL a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (especially in growing or limited-capability environments).
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, modeling) and hands-on experience with ERP systems.
  • Ability to create, manage, and adjust production schedules in alignment with demand, materials, and capacity.
  • Solid understanding of MRP, MPS, BOMs, and inventory control techniques (e.g., Min/Max, ROP).
  • Familiarity with JIT, Kanban, and hybrid inventory systems.
  • Comfortable working in both office and production floor settings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (preferred).
  • APICS CPIM or similar certification preferred.
