Senior Production Planner / Master Planner - Food Manufacturing
We’re hiring a hands-on, detail-driven Senior Production Planner to lead production and inventory planning in a fast-paced, regulated food manufacturing environment. You’ll own the scheduling process, manage materials, and collaborate across departments to ensure we meet demand efficiently and on time.

We’re hiring a hands-on, detail-driven Senior Production Planner to lead production and inventory planning in a fast-paced, regulated food manufacturing environment. You’ll own the scheduling process, manage materials, and collaborate across departments to ensure we meet demand efficiently and on time.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand.
- Release and adjust production work orders based on material availability and shifting priorities.
- Coordinate raw materials and inventory for both make-to-stock and make-to-order products.
- Analyze production data using Excel (pivot tables, formulas, what-if models).
- Maintain ERP accuracy (BOMs, routings, inventory levels).
- Collaborate daily with Procurement, Operations, QA, Sales, R&D, and Logistics.
- Support process improvements, lean initiatives, and better planning tools.
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of production planning/scheduling in food or regulated manufacturing.
- Advanced Excel skills; Power Query, VBA, or SQL a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems (especially in growing or limited-capability environments).
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, modeling) and hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Ability to create, manage, and adjust production schedules in alignment with demand, materials, and capacity.
- Solid understanding of MRP, MPS, BOMs, and inventory control techniques (e.g., Min/Max, ROP).
- Familiarity with JIT, Kanban, and hybrid inventory systems.
- Comfortable working in both office and production floor settings.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field (preferred).
- APICS CPIM or similar certification preferred.
