In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial health and success of our projects, with an immediate priority on driving coordination between project operations and corporate finance.

- PM & Accounting Bridge: Act as the primary financial liaison to Project Managers. Take over where PMs leave off on budgeting and cost tracking to align operational project details with the general ledger.
- WIP & Revenue Recognition Management: Manage the full master Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedule and execute Percentage of Completion (POC) revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
- WIP Reconciliation: Collaboratively review, maintain, and update monthly WIP schedules for 75+ active jobs. Validate estimated costs to complete, track change orders, identify over/under billings, and address margin fade/gain trends.
- Cost Allocations: Handle heavy cost allocations across projects to ensure proper job costing alignments.
- Progress Billings: Oversee the full progress billing cycle, managing AIA billings, pay applications, change orders, and lien waiver collections.
- Systems Utilization: Utilize Sage Intacct and Viewpoint to optimize financial processes, maintaining data integrity between operational project software and general accounting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or relevant certification is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated construction project accounting or job costing experience.
- WIP Expertise: Proven mastery of managing master WIP schedules, monthly WIP reconciliation roll-forwards, and the percentage of completion method.
- ERP Systems: Proficient with Sage Intacct and Viewpoint. Experience with Procore integrations or Power BI dashboarding is a strong plus.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, specifically with the ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers and operations teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
