As a Project Manager, you will lead the successful execution of design projects across all phases, serving a diverse client base. You’ll oversee internal and external teams, ensure alignment with budgets and workplans, and guide the development of comprehensive contract documents. As the main client liaison, your leadership and focus on service excellence will be essential to project success.

Job Details

Planning, scheduling, and managing project phases including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Preparing and maintaining the overall project schedule to ensure timely delivery.
Reviewing project health—both technical and administrative—with your operations leader on a regular basis.
Notifying the Business Operations Manager of any changing project conditions requiring leadership attention.
Updating the project planner weekly and discussing progress during studio staffing meetings.
Preparing and obtaining approval for additional services prior to initiating any out-of-scope work.
Leveraging internal resource groups to support design and document development.
Providing construction services, such as conducting site visits and reviewing shop drawings.
Collaborating with the contracts team to ensure successful contract execution.
Representing the firm at public design review or development approval meetings and project presentations when needed.
Assembling and managing the consultant team: defining scope, securing fees, selecting partners, and facilitating contracts.
Supporting studio leadership by mentoring junior team members and contributing to their development.
Assisting with proposal writing and consultant coordination in collaboration with studio leadership.
Working with accounting to track accounts receivable, manage consultant payables, and coordinate project invoicing.
Overseeing coordination with consultants through all phases of the project.
Partnering with the QC team, peer reviewers, or dedicated Project Architect to ensure quality and accuracy of all contract documents.

Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in architecture
Broad experience with commercial projects, including industrial, office, and/or retail sectors
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Newforma
Strong understanding of building codes and regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to coordinate and deliver a comprehensive set of contract documents
