Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing all aspects of construction project management, including the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
2. Defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
3. Developing comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
4. Performing risk management to minimize project risks and manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
5. Measuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
6. Reporting and escalating to management as needed.
7. Managing the relationship with all stakeholders.
8. Establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties/vendors.
9. Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
10. Meeting with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
11. Delegating project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
12. Tracking project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
13. Developing spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management in the construction industry, with a focus on jails, schools, courthouses, and fire stations.
2. Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
3. Proven working experience in project management.
4. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
7. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
8. Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
10. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
11. Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
12. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
13. Familiarity with construction management software packages.
14. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
15. Excellent time and project management skills.
