We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Permanent Senior Project Manager with a focus on Healthcare Construction. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale, ground-up commercial projects, with a specific emphasis on hospital construction, healthcare renovations, and tenant improvements. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific healthcare construction and renovation projects.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and plans. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths for deliverables.
- Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Ensure all project objectives and goals are met, including adherence to full scope, quality, performance, and budgetary guidelines.
- Conduct risk management tasks, project-level planning, and organization of resources and equipment.
- Oversee tenant improvements and ensure they meet the required standards and specifications.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear manner.
- Prepare and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Comply with all safety or legal requirements.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, specifically in healthcare construction.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial projects, ground-up hospital construction, healthcare renovations, and tenant improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Exceptional project management and supervision skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience in risk management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and work with diverse teams.
- Proficient in project management software and standard office software such as MS Office Suite.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong commitment to safety and ethical standards.
