Senior Project Manager
Location: Remote; Nashville, TN area

Important Work Tasks
Manage and support one or more project teams to successfully deliver project outcomes
Plan, monitor, and report to ensure projects meet agreed thresholds and objectives
Manage project performance including financials, schedule, and quality
Scope Management
Establish and maintain scope of work definitions in accordance with contract requirements
Conduct change order management
Planning
Develop and maintain project management plans
Develop and maintain project schedules
Financial Management
Create and maintain project budgets and estimates
Risk Management
Create and manage Risk Management Plans
Create and maintain risk registers and mitigation plans
Quality
Plan and follow up to ensure projects meet defined quality requirements
Perform document control functions for all project files in accordance with internal PMO standards
Work closely with development, testing, and accounting teams to ensure full project awareness and alignment
Ensure requirements documents, design documents, user manuals, administration manuals, release notes, and training materials are aligned prior to customer delivery
Project Deliverables / Scrum
Organize, facilitate, and document Scrum activities (planning, daily scrums, reviews, retrospectives)
Keep stakeholders informed on team progress
Lead requirements gathering and tracking
Orchestrate design-stage meetings
Manage scope creep and assist with UAT, documentation, and deployments
Resource Management
Perform resource planning and forecasting
Coordinate day‑to‑day project tasks
Work with Engineering to resolve resource and delivery issues
Client Handling
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong collaborative relationships
Attend and coordinate customer meetings and follow‑ups
Identify opportunities for additional tasks or functionality that may benefit customers
Partner closely with Business Development on new business opportunities
Deliver product demonstrations to clients
Develop proposals, contracts, sub‑consultant agreements, task orders, and statements of work
Complete, review, and approve customer status reporting and invoicing
Communication & Reporting
Maintain and communicate overall and individual project status to internal teams, customers, and third‑party consultants
Prepare executive‑level project status reporting for leadership
Sales
Participate in proposals related to project management activities, including proposal writing
Your Experience and Knowledge
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Traffic, Civil, Transportation, or Electrical) or Computer Science
2+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment
5+ years of hands‑on experience across the full software development lifecycle
3+ years of experience with ITIL and Operations Management methodologies
5+ years of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) experience
PMP certification required
CSM certification is a plus
Experience scoping, planning, and leading multi‑phase, multi‑million‑dollar projects
Ability to lead teams of 5+ developers and cross‑functional teams of 8+ people
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Java programming experience is a plus
Understanding of business development and marketing practices
