You will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and finalization of our construction projects. You will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to lead and manage complex construction projects, and to make a significant impact on our company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction project management, including planning, coordination, budgeting, and risk management.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, manage and control project scopes, and implement effective change control processes.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure projects are completed to the highest quality standards.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Utilize project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans and money spend.
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
- Conduct regular quality control checks, identifying any potential issues or risks, and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to keep the project aligned with their needs and expectations.
- Lead and manage the project team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and optimizes team performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management or Engineering, or related field.
- Education: Completed Electrical Apprenticeship and 8 years field supervisory experience; OR 10 years of project management experience in the electrical construction industry
- Proven experience in managing all phases of construction projects, from conception to completion.
- OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e certification or willing to get within 3 months
- Excellent ability to manage budgets and create and stick to timelines.
- Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and drive projects to successful completion.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Solid problem-solving abilities, with a knack for creative and effective solutions.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
