Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules for new and ongoing projects, including resources, costs, and timeline.
2. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project are integrated into the schedule.
3. Analyze project specifications and contracts to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
4. Monitor project progress, compare it with the baseline schedule, and report the progress to the relevant stakeholders.
5. Identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
6. Use Primavera software to manage project schedules and provide real-time updates.
7. Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to ensure that project costs are accurately reflected in the schedule.
8. Prepare and present detailed reports on the status of the project to the management team.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling in the construction industry. (Educational Facilities and/or Public Works experience preferred)
3. Proficiency in Primavera scheduling software is a must.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction processes, subcontractor coordination, and project management principles.
5. Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles as they relate to project scheduling.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
8. Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, and finance professionals.
9. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. Professional certification in project management or scheduling is a plus.
