If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Permanent Senior Property Accountant/Assistant Controller. In this role, you will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing financial matters related to our extensive portfolio of shopping centers. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Property Accountant/Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
2. Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis.
3. Ensuring all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
4. Preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and managing tax planning.
5. Conducting CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations.
6. Using MRI software for property management accounting and reporting.
7. Coordinating with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
8. Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures increase accuracy and efficiency.
9. Overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
10. Liaising with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Property Accountant/Assistant Controller position should have the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a related field, with a focus on shopping centers.
3. Proven experience with CAM reconciliations and MRI software.
4. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.
5. Strong attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors.
6. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
