We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Senior Property Accountant for our Commercial Real Estate division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in commercial real estate accounting. This position will play a crucial role in our accounting and finance team, contributing to the financial health and success of our commercial real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Overseeing and managing all financial aspects of our commercial real estate portfolio.
2. Utilizing Yardi and MRI software to prepare and analyze financial reports.
3. Managing the financial transactions of our shopping centers, including rent collections, operating expenses, and reconciliations.
4. Preparing and presenting financial statements, budget forecasts, and variance analyses.
5. Coordinating with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
6. Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
7. Participating in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
8. Assisting in the preparation of year-end audit and tax return schedules.
9. Evaluating and implementing opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Property Accountant position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting.
3. Proficiency in Yardi and MRI software.
4. Experience in managing the financial transactions of shopping centers.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
9. Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
