We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our dynamic and expanding Residential & Commercial team in the Mortgage industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our portfolio of mixed-use, apartments, units, and multifamily properties. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take on new challenges in the realm of property accounting.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be expected to:

1. Manage all aspects of accounting for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties, including but not limited to, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.

2. Utilize Yardi and MRI software to streamline processes and improve financial reporting.

3. Coordinate with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.

4. Conduct regular financial analysis and audits to identify potential areas of improvement.

5. Oversee the preparation of year-end financials and liaise with external auditors as needed.

6. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to property accounting.

7. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the residential and commercial sectors.

2. Proficiency in Yardi and MRI software is essential.

3. Demonstrated experience in managing financials for mixed-use, apartments, units, and multifamily properties.

4. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is a plus.

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.

7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

8. A strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
