Senior Property Accountant for a Real Estate and Management Company
A bit about us:
A real estate and management company with a commercial, industrial, and residential portfolio is looking to add a Senior Property Accountant to its growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAM recs and Yardi or MRI.
This is a 3-4 month contract assignment with a potential option to convert into full-time employment at the end of the assignment

Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Senior Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all accounting activities related to income-producing properties, including shopping centers.
2. Preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
3. Conducting CAM reconciliations and preparing annual budgets for property operations.
4. Utilizing Yardi software for property management accounting tasks, including data entry, reporting, and analysis.
5. Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
6. Leading the implementation of new accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
7. Conducting regular audits to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
8. Assisting with tax preparation and compliance activities.
9. Providing financial consulting services to clients, including strategic planning, risk management, and investment advice.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Senior Property Accountant position will possess the following:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferably in a consulting role.
2. Proficiency in Yardi property management software.
3. Extensive experience with CAM reconciliations and shopping center accounting.
4. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in an understandable way.
7. A keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
8. A deep understanding of real estate industry trends and financial regulations.
