The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in property accounting, full-cycle accounting, CAM reconciliations, and proficiency with RealPage, Yardi, or MRI software.

We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial, retail, and shopping center properties. This includes preparing financial statements, budgets, CAM reconciliations, and other accounting reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting, with a particular emphasis on commercial and retail properties. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial, retail, and shopping center properties.
2. Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Conducting CAM reconciliations and preparing related reports.
4. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
5. Coordinating with property managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
6. Ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
7. Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.
8. Participating in the annual audit process.
9. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial and retail properties.
3. Proficiency in Yardi and MRI accounting software.
4. Proven experience with CAM reconciliations.
5. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism.
10. CPA certification is a plus.
