Job Details
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Senior Property Accountant to play a key role in managing the financial operations of a growing real estate portfolio. What You’ll Do:
🔹 Financial Management: Ensure the financial health of properties by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, supporting the Accounting Manager, and maintaining accurate financial records.
🔹 Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and rent collections with precision to keep property operations running smoothly.
🔹 Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations to verify transactions and resolve discrepancies.
🔹 General Ledger & Financial Reporting: Maintain the general ledger, assist in preparing financial statements, and provide insights into property performance.
🔹 Lease Administration: Review lease agreements for accuracy, ensure compliance with terms, and manage billing.
🔹 Property Management Software: Work with ERP systems like Fortress and Sage to track financial transactions and generate reports (Sage experience is a plus, but training will be provided).
🔹 Compliance & Audit Support: Uphold accounting best practices, assist with audits, and maintain organized financial documentation.
What You Bring to the Table:
✔ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
✔ Experience: 3+ years in accounting, ideally within real estate or property management. (Internship experience will be considered.)
✔ Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in accounting software & Microsoft Excel
✔ Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles and property management operations.
