Senior Purchasing Agent

We design, develop, and manufacture mechanical and architectural air movement and control products, primarily for the commercial, industrial, and power generation markets. Our products include dampers, louvers, roof curbs and rails, sunshades, drop plenum supply and concentric diffusers, access doors, ventilators, and UV products.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Purchasing Agent to join our manufacturing industry team. As a Senior Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the purchasing process, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in costing, purchasing materials, and pricing, as well as a proven track record of success in the finance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives
• Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and terms
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials and minimize excess inventory
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
• Analyze market trends and make recommendations for improvements to the purchasing process
• Manage the purchasing budget and ensure all purchases are within budgetary constraints
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the finance industry
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers
• Experience with costing, purchasing materials, and pricing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software applications
