Position Overview
The Senior Quality Control Manager will serve as the owner's representative, ensuring that EPC contractors execute construction activities in accordance with project specifications, industry best practices, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
This individual will spend approximately 75% of their time traveling to active project sites across the United States, supporting community solar and utility-scale ground-mount solar projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
You'll oversee and verify the quality of construction, proactively identify deficiencies, collaborate with EPC partners, and help ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and built to the highest standards.

You'll oversee and verify the quality of construction, proactively identify deficiencies, collaborate with EPC partners, and help ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and built to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the owner's quality representative on active solar construction projects.
- Perform routine site inspections throughout all phases of construction.
- Verify EPC contractors are constructing projects in accordance with design drawings, specifications, contracts, and applicable codes.
- Review quality documentation, inspection reports, testing records, and turnover packages.
- Identify construction deficiencies and partner with EPC teams to develop corrective action plans.
- Monitor workmanship, installation practices, and material quality throughout construction.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, quality planning, and project kickoff activities.
- Support commissioning and project closeout efforts.
- Track punch list items and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with Construction Management, Engineering, Asset Management, Development, and third-party consultants.
- Help establish and continuously improve quality assurance processes and standards across the project portfolio.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of quality control, quality assurance, construction management, or field engineering experience within renewable energy or commercial construction.
- Strong experience with utility-scale or community solar projects.
- Experience working from the owner's representative, developer, EPC, or owner's engineering perspective.
- Thorough understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical installation practices for ground-mount photovoltaic systems.
- Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection processes, commissioning, and project turnover documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, IFC drawings, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of NEC, OSHA, and industry quality standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
- Highly organized with exceptional documentation and reporting abilities.
- Comfortable traveling approximately 75% throughout the United States.
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- NABCEP certification is a plus. And Journeyman Electrician License highly preferred
