We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated, and detail-oriented Senior Regulatory Analyst to join our esteemed finance team in Seguin, TX. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a background in accounting or finance and a deep understanding of compliance and regulatory expertise. The ideal candidate should have an impressive track record in regulatory reporting, financial regulatory filings, and state regulatory filings.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Regulatory Analyst, your primary duties will include:
1. Analyzing and interpreting regulatory requirements, rules and regulations, and ensuring the organization's compliance with them.
2. Preparing, reviewing, and submitting regulatory filings to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC), New Mexico Oil Conservation District (NMOCD), and other regulatory bodies as required.
3. Utilizing advanced MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to manage and manipulate data, generate reports, and conduct financial analyses.
4. Collaborating with the finance team to develop and implement strategies and procedures for "Spud to plug" and other industry-specific operations.
5. Liaising with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and addressing any issues related to regulatory compliance.
6. Utilizing SCADA systems for data collection and process automation, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
7. Keeping abreast of changes in regulatory norms and legislation, and advising management on necessary adjustments to business operations.
8. Assisting in the preparation of reports for the Texas Railroad Commission (TRRC) and other regulatory bodies.
9. Providing training and guidance to junior staff on regulatory compliance and reporting procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry as a regulatory reporting specilaist
3. Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory reporting, compliance, SOX and SEC experience
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management.
6. High level of integrity and professional ethics
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Willingness to stay updated with the changes in financial regulations and legislation.
