Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure capable of orchestrating billions of concurrent AI agents
- Build and optimize distributed systems for low-latency compute and high-throughput sandbox orchestration
- Lead the development of a Go-based backend powering sandbox environments with startup times under 100ms
- Architect workload placement systems across nodes with support for live migrations
- Own the self-hosted and open-source developer experience, ensuring frictionless local setup and scaling
- Build observability tools starting at the VM kernel level, leveraging eBPF and related technologies
- Operate in a Linux-native environment, contributing deeply to the performance of the system stack
- Collaborate directly with technical leadership on product direction and scaling strategies
- Bring 7 years of experience building scaled distributed systems or infrastructure
- Apply 5+ years of hands-on Go programming experience within Linux-based systems
- Contribute startup-hardened instincts from at least 2 years in an early-stage company (0–1 product or team leadership experience)
- Leverage experience working in cloud environments like GCP or AWS to inform architecture decisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
- At least 7+ YOE building scalable infrastructure or distributed systems at a high-growth startup, preferably at a Dev Tooling or cloud infrastructure shop
- Experience with Golang (ideally 3+ years). They are also open to candidates with a strong proficiency in C++ with willingness to transition
- Hands on experience with Terraform
- Deep familiarity with virtualization, containers, networking internals, and kernel-level optimization
- Excited by terms like L4 load balancing, noisy neighbor mitigation, Firecracker, and hugepages
- Comfortable in a lean, high-transparency team of mostly engineers (3-5 YOE average on team)
- Familiarity with low-level systems concepts such as Firecracker, eBPF, Userfaultfd (UFFD), block devices, and hugepages
- Understanding of networking at the transport layer, including L4 load balancing
- Experience addressing performance issues in multi-tenant environments, including solving noisy neighbor problems
- Bonus Points: Big plus if you have experience at a cloud infra company like AWS, Rapid7, Oracle, Digital Ocean, Heroku, Vulture MS Azure, or similar
