We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Staff Accountant to join our Engineering team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the financial strategy of the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of financial functions, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, balance sheet management, and audit compliance. Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
3. Prepare and post monthly journal entries and complete general ledger operations.
4. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
5. Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
6. Monitor variances, track expenses, and prepare detailed reports to identify trends and forecast future budgets.
7. Conduct detailed balance sheet analysis.
8. Ensure compliance with ASC 606, ASC 842, SEC reporting, 10K, 10Q, and US GAAP.
9. Coordinate audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls.
10. Utilize advanced Excel and ERP software to streamline accounting tasks.
11. Collaborate with the finance team and other business units to support overall goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. A CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
2. 6+ years of experience as a Senior Staff Accountant or in a similar role in the engineering industry.
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including ASC 606, ASC 842, SEC reporting, 10K, 10Q, and US GAAP.
4. Experience with month-end/year-end close process, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, balance sheet management, and audit compliance.
5. Proficiency in advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred.
6. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
