Senior Property Accountant - Growing Firm!

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Accountant to join its thriving team.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintaining all aspects of accounting responsibility for a portfolio of properties.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements and making any necessary financial adjustments.
3. Conducting reconciliations and ensuring accurate billing.
4. Reading leases; running rent roll monthly; variance reporting.
4. Coordinating with property managers to ensure budget variances are minimized.
5. Maintaining the general ledger and preparing monthly journal entries.
6. Providing accurate and timely financial reports for management.
7. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
8. Assisting with annual audits and preparing necessary reports.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 1+ years of experience in property accounting.
3. Proficiency in Yardi is highly preferred.
4. Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger, and CAM reconciliations.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Strong communication + interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
