Senior Staff Accountant

We are working with a reputable Consumer Product Goods company who is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to step in and provide an immediate impact within our Accounting operations. We will provide all of the necessary training up front to ensure you are successful. This is an onsite position with one day remote work weekly. • Month-end and year-end close process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
• Utilize US GAAP standards in working with proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Assist in coordinating and completing annual audits.
• Complete projects and work with Accounting team to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.

Qualifications:

• Proven working experience as an Accountant
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office (Excel), accounting software, and databases.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• CPA or MBA preferred but not required
• High proficiency in using NetSuite software would be a huge plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
