We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Statutory Accountant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals and be part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory accounting principles, analyzing financial data, and preparing accurate financial reports. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Statutory Accountant, you will be tasked with:

1. Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
2. Analyzing general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures.
3. Preparing and reviewing invoices, checks, and invoice statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
4. Handling both routine and non-routine accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
5. Collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
6. Assisting with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
7. Providing support and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
8. Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Statutory Accountant position, you must possess the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in statutory accounting or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles and financial reporting.
4. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical practices.
