As a Senior Structural Engineer Department Head, you will be joining a dynamic and innovative team in the construction industry. You will be at the forefront of our organization, leading complex projects, and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our structures. This role is pivotal in our organization, as you will be responsible for overseeing all structural engineering projects, providing technical leadership, and ensuring quality control. You will also be responsible for managing client expectations and verifying complex building systems. Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the structural engineering department, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
2. Provide technical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of complex building systems.
3. Ensure quality control by developing and implementing rigorous testing and verification processes.
4. Manage client expectations, build strong relationships, and ensure client satisfaction through timely delivery and exceptional quality.
5. Commission projects for implementation, ensuring all technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements are met.
6. Collaborate with other department heads and senior management to develop strategic plans and initiatives.
7. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance and support in their professional development.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering and construction.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on complex building systems.
3. Proven experience in a leadership role, with the ability to manage a team and drive projects to completion.
4. Strong knowledge of quality control processes and standards in the construction industry.
5. Excellent client management skills, with the ability to manage expectations and build strong relationships.
6. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
9. Good understanding of construction laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance in all projects.
