Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Lead, supervise and develop, Project forepersons, Project Engineers, Assistant Superintendents, Superintendents and/or Interns, including performance review.
- Develop, produce and implement the overall project set-up and site logistics
- Develop and implement overall project schedules.
- Identify critical materials, and/or equipment, for timely phased delivery and installation.
- Ensure subcontractors have sufficient resources on site to meet the schedule.
- Review and respond to subcontractor claims of schedule impacts, claims of productivity impacts and extra work.
- Develop and enforce recovery schedules.
- Develop and manage the overall site safety program as required and ensuring subcontractor compliance with Plant Construction Company standards per the IIPP and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
- Develop and manage quality control plan for the project. Ensure that all work is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.
- Oversee work among all trades to promote a coordinated project operation.
- Primary liaison with client, architects, engineers, consultants, etc. for the construction activities of the project.
- Participate in project pursuits, proposals and presentations. Contributor in securing the project during the RFP process.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (any additional experience a plus)
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience at a General Contractor
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent supervising project teams
- Extensive experience with commercial tenant improvements in the $50+ MIL range (life science and biotechnology project experience strongly preferred)
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the general and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, construction means, methods and materials, understanding of line and grade and survey methods.
- Proficient knowledge of building codes and compliance. Proficient knowledge of construction cost control and accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of accounting and cost control procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Programs, scheduling software, and other project management software
