We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent for Healthcare Construction with a strong background in OSHPD/HCAi. This role is a unique opportunity to lead and manage healthcare construction projects from conception to completion. Our ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a hands-on approach, who can manage all on-site operations and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet the quality, budget, and scheduling objectives.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand expectations and responsibilities.
  • Ensure all construction activities align with architectural and engineering plans.
  • Manage the interface with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Review work progress daily and provide regular status updates to management.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHPD regulations and all other relevant health and safety laws.
  • Handle on-site incidents and emergencies professionally and responsibly.
  • Plan and carry out comprehensive project strategies to ensure a smooth and efficient project completion.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Coordinate and oversee all work on site, including seismic retrofitting, structural concrete work, and ground-up construction.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately and is up to date.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically in healthcare construction.
  • Proven experience in project management and supervision.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations, including OSHPD compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in ground-up construction, structural concrete work, and seismic retrofitting.
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with excellent leadership abilities.
  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field; PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
  • HCAI, TI, and Construction Renovations experience is a must.
