Our company is seeking an experienced Permanent Senior Superintendent with a specialized focus on Healthcare Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of ground up construction projects for healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. The candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, implementation, and tracking of our construction projects. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a substantial impact on the delivery of healthcare services by creating state-of-the-art facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects.
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
  • Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
  • Ensure project is completed in accordance with the project schedule and budget.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Prepare and submit project reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Troubleshoot and handle any issues that arise related to the construction project.
  • Foster a culture of safety and ensure all safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior superintendent role.
  • Proven experience in healthcare construction, including hospital construction and ground-up construction.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • A team player with leadership abilities.
  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or relevant field.
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
