Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in the electro-mechanical industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of complex systems, focusing on hydraulic engineering, electro-mechanical systems, and electrical circuits. Must have experience with Python, MatLab, or DIAdem. This is a senior role and this individual will be leading multiple projects as well as mentoring team members, so leadership experience is a must! This role will also involve significant product and project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of complex hydraulic systems, including the creation of 2D hydraulic schematics.
• Execute Python backend development to support system functionality and data analysis.
• Utilize software tools such as Matlab, C++, and DIAdem to design and optimize system performance.
• Design and implement electro-mechanical systems, including the wiring of electrical systems.
• Manage product development from concept to production, ensuring that products meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
• Conduct project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.
• Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate risks.
• Ensure systems meet EMI/EMC requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system requirements are met.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, with a strong focus on hydraulic engineering.
• Proficiency in Python backend development.
• Experience with Matlab, C++, and DIAdem.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience in wiring electrical systems.
• Strong product management skills, with the ability to manage product development from concept to production.
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities.
• Experience in conducting FMEA and ensuring systems meet EMI/EMC requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior engineers.
