Job Details

Specific Job Responsibilities & Duties:

· Full ownership of tax compliance including income tax provision, managing tax provision inputs with our 3rd party advisor
· Responsibility for processing tax payments including income tax and property tax
· Managing, driving resolution, and minimizing tax notices, penalties and interest
· Oversight and ownership of sales tax processes including reconciliation of sales tax liability, primary owner/user of Avalara system to manage sales tax calculations, and ability to demonstrate an understanding of the collection of sales taxes and required filings
· Own reconciliation of payroll accounts and assist in payroll review. (This person requires the ability to manage sensitive and confidential data.)
· Managing and owning sales tax audits and projects
· Own the accounting for fixed assets and internally developed software projects including capitalized wages, as well as, GAAP and tax depreciation.
· Assisting in debt compliance calculations
· Assist in the month end close for respective tax accounts or other areas as assigned
· Have a strong understanding of the general ledger and how things are booked
· Perform other accounting, financial or administrative needs as may be required

Qualifications:

Education
· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and 4+ years of accounting experience

Skills and Experience
· Very strong attention to detail
· Strong understanding of the general ledger and GAAP
· Proficient in MS Office, intermediate MS Excel experience
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with internal and external partners
