We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax: corporate tax returns, state and local tax, federal & state tax, tax preparation, CCH, tax planning, income tax, S Corp, high net worth, gift, prepare, and CPA or EA is a plus. This exciting role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from individuals with high net worth to large corporations. With at least 2 years of experience under your belt, you'll be ready to take on the challenge of optimizing our clients' tax situation and ensuring compliance with various tax laws.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing and reviewing federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership returns.
2. Conducting complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries.
3. Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring their tax situation is optimized and compliant with the law.
4. Assisting with tax planning and advising clients on strategies to minimize their tax liability.
5. Analyzing financial statements and reports for discrepancies and tax-saving opportunities.
6. Keeping up-to-date with changes in tax law and regulations.
7. Providing leadership and support to junior tax accountants.
8. Liaising with tax authorities and providing tax audit support.
9. Preparing tax reports and forecasting for internal management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA or EA is a plus.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
4. In-depth knowledge of tax regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
5. Experience with CCH and other tax preparation software.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret complex financial data.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
11. Experience working with high net worth individuals and corporations is preferred.
12. A commitment to continuous learning and development in a rapidly changing tax environment.
