The role:
What we are looking for:
- Prepare and lead individual, trust, estate, and business tax returns; assist with planning
- Complete initial reviews and prepare complex tax returns
- Provide leadership and training for junior staff and interns
- Support tax planning efforts and lead assigned projects
- Prepare and review compiled financial statements
- Collaborate with managers and firm leadership in a team environment
- Use current tax and accounting software for engagements
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Begin identifying areas of specialization
- Research technical tax issues
- Support firm business development initiatives
- Professionally represent the firm at client and community functions
- Participate in industry niches and civic/professional organizations
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
- 3+ years of tax/accounting experience in a CPA firm, with trust, estate, gift, and complex return exposure
- Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of focus, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines
- Experience with ProSystems, QuickBooks, and CCH Engagement
