Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and businesses (1120, 1120s, 1040).
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
- Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues; provide recommendations based on findings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Supervise, train, and mentor junior tax staff.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of tax data.
- Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation and regulations, and provide actionable insights.
- Advise on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business and tax needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
- Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Proficiency in tax preparation and planning for individuals, trusts, estates, and businesses (1120, 1120s, 1040).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
