Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates, and businesses (1120, 1120s, 1040).
  • Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.
  • Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits.
  • Research and analyze complex tax issues; provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior tax staff.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of tax data.
  • Monitor and analyze proposed and newly enacted tax legislation and regulations, and provide actionable insights.
  • Advise on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business and tax needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
  • Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation and planning for individuals, trusts, estates, and businesses (1120, 1120s, 1040).
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
