Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Senior Tax Manager to join our team. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to work in the fast-paced and ever-evolving mortgage industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax operations, developing tax strategies, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, and a proven track record in managing tax operations in a mortgage or financial services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of tax operations, including tax planning, tax compliance, and tax risk management.
• Prepare and review tax returns and tax reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage tax audits.
• Provide expert tax advice and guidance to senior management on complex tax issues and decisions.
• Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals and ensure their continuous development and performance improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of tax strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or a professional certification such as CPA or CTA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management in a mortgage or financial services environment.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations and their application in a mortgage industry context.
• Strong strategic thinking skills and the ability to develop and implement effective tax strategies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Proficiency in tax software and other relevant computer applications.
