Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Technical Accounting Manager to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent position where you will play a crucial role in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. You will be responsible for managing financial statement reporting, conducting month-end activities, P&L analysis, cash flow management, and balance sheet reconciliation. Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all technical accounting matters, including financial statement reporting, month-end close process, and balance sheet reconciliation.
2. Conduct extensive P&L analysis to identify financial trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
3. Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
4. Develop and implement effective budgeting and forecasting models to support the company's financial planning initiatives.
5. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and controls in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
6. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
7. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Partner with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in accounting rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior technical accounting role, preferably within the Accounting and Finance industry.
3. Proven experience in managing financial statement reporting, month-end activities, P&L analysis, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
6. Proficient in using accounting software and other business-related software.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
