Our client is a leading engineering firm in search of a dynamic and experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for managing and leading transportation projects, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from small scale local road improvements to large scale highway and bridge projects. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage transportation engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Develop and implement design standards and specifications related to transportation projects.
• Conduct site development and geotechnical investigations, including soil and foundation analysis.
• Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in transportation engineering.
• Ensure all work is in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and engineering standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on site development and geotechnical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Proven experience in managing and leading transportation projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including site development and geotechnical engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex transportation challenges.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficient in the use of engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Commitment to health and safety, and compliance with engineering standards.
