Job Details

We’re seeking a Service Account Specialist with hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS) to help support and maintain client facilities in the Chicago market. This position plays a vital role in delivering service agreement obligations, providing preventative and corrective maintenance, system optimization, and performance analysis of HVAC control systems. You’ll act as the go-to technical expert and relationship builder for assigned accounts—ensuring operational excellence and total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
Customer Success & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers through routine check-ins and clear communication
  • Address service-related issues promptly and professionally, ensuring high satisfaction
  • Coordinate and manage the scheduling and execution of service agreements and time-and-material (T&M) work
  • Represent the company’s service standards and values on every visit
Technical Execution
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as system backups, control network analysis, and optimization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve DDC control and mechanical system issues
  • Complete detailed service documentation after each visit
  • Assist with software/hardware upgrades and participate in after-hours support rotations
  • Deliver basic customer training when necessary
Service Agreement Support
  • Partner with sales and operations teams during project handoffs and kickoffs
  • Conduct periodic system health reviews and performance evaluations
  • Review service financials quarterly to help forecast revenue and margins
  • Provide strategic input to ensure agreements are profitable and aligned with customer needs

Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree in Applied Technology or equivalent work experience
  • Background in HVAC controls, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience with system programming and diagnostics of DDC platforms preferred
  • Strong knowledge of BAS, DDC controls, and HVAC systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service accounts effectively
  • Proficiency with computer hardware/software and building control systems
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance practices and technical documentation
  • Valid driver’s license required
