Job Details

Currently seeking a Controls Service Manager to join an established Mechanical Contractor in the Charlotte market. This role is responsible for the overall management, operation, development and growth of the Service Department.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all service operations activities, ensuring effective planning, organization, direction, and control.
  • Balance financial metrics with employee and customer needs, submitting monthly financial forecasting information.
  • Enhance planned and executed margins for Service projects, maintenance agreements, and Time & Material agreements.
  • Manage and expand customer service agreements, consolidating into multi-portfolio accounts.
  • Provide technical and operational support for sales teams, offering proper pricing and scope-of-work definition.
  • Lead a team of Field Technicians and support staff, forecasting labor needs to exceed customer commitments.
  • Build and maintain an efficient operations organization focused on customer and employee satisfaction for profitable growth.
  • Manage hiring, training, development, allocation, and performance assessment of personnel.
  • Support scheduling to meet customer needs, conduct one-on-one reviews with direct reports, and provide technical support for installed projects.
  • Communicate regularly with customers and coordinate startup activities to ensure correct staffing and abilities for project commitments.

MUST HAVE:
  • Five years of building technologies industry experience, and two years of management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A thorough understanding of project management processes.
  • Valid Driver’s license with a clean record.
