Job Details
An established debt settlement firm seeks a detail-oriented Paralegal to support their busy settlement and loss mitigation division. This role provides hands-on experience with contract exits, cancellations, and debt settlement negotiations while working with a specialized team handling complex consumer financial matters.

- Prepare and review settlement agreements, debt negotiation documents, and contract cancellation materials
- Coordinate communication between clients, financial institutions, and legal counsel
- Track case progress and maintain detailed records of settlement negotiations and outcomes
- Process and organize case documentation for contract resolutions
- Assist with loss mitigation strategies and dispute resolution processes
- Monitor critical deadlines and maintain case management databases
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and case managers
- Communicate effectively with partner firms and clients
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years paralegal or legal assistant experience (debt settlement, consumer law, contract law, or loss mitigation experience strongly preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Team player with professional demeanor and customer service orientation
- Experience with contract review and negotiation processes a plus
