Sheet Metal Installer

Our client is a well-established manufacturing and installation company with locations across the US! They are hiring for full-time Maintenance Technicians, Sheet Metal Fabricators, or Installers!

SCHEDULE: MON-THURS 6am-3:30pm FRI 7am-12pm, overtime available

Job Details:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Installer to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated, hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and repair of various types of sheet metal products and equipment. Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
• Layout and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, using scribers, dividers, squares, and rulers.
• Install assemblies in supportive frameworks according to blueprints, using hand tools, power tools, and lifting and handling devices.
• Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometers.
• Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components into sheet metal products.
• Fabricate and alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, and drills.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools.
• Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Coordinate with team members and other professionals on work assignments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Sheet Metal Installer or in a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.).
• Strong understanding of technical manuals and schematic diagrams.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production sketches.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety rules and regulations.
