Job Details:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Installer to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated, hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and repair of various types of sheet metal products and equipment. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and to grow professionally in a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
  • Layout and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, using scribers, dividers, squares, and rulers.
  • Install assemblies in supportive frameworks according to blueprints, using hand tools, power tools, and lifting and handling devices.
  • Inspect assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, scales, and micrometers.
  • Fasten seams and joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components into sheet metal products.
  • Fabricate and alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches, and drills.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools.
  • Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
  • Coordinate with team members and other professionals on work assignments.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Sheet Metal Installer or in a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.).
  • Strong understanding of technical manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production sketches.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety rules and regulations.
