A bit about us:
As a Shipping/Receiving Manager, you will be an integral part of our Engineering team, ensuring that all our products reach their destinations on time and in perfect condition. You will be responsible for managing the movement of goods in and out of our warehouse, maintaining accurate inventory records, and coordinating with suppliers, customers, and transport companies. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for an individual with a strong background in structural steel, inventory management, shipments, and receiving management. Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:45pm at our plant in Oakdale, CA.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all shipping and receiving activities in the warehouse to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and implement inventory control measures to prevent discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of goods.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for quality and quantity to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Ensure all safety regulations and procedures are followed within the shipping/receiving department.
- Prepare and manage shipping documents and labels, and maintain accurate records of all shipments.
- Handle and resolve issues related to shipping and receiving.
- Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
Job Details
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping/receiving management, preferably in the Engineering industry.
- Proven experience with structural steel, inventory management, shipments, and receiving management.
- Strong knowledge of logistics and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and comfortable learning new technical systems.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
