We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Work Supervisor to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, with a focus on healthcare, and a proven track record in supervisory roles. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of social workers, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that all case management tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, guide, and mentor a team of social workers, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure the highest level of service to our patients.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the social work department, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of social work services within the healthcare setting.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Conduct regular reviews of case management practices to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss case progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new social work staff.
- Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a social work role within a healthcare setting.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Extensive knowledge of case management principles, healthcare regulations, and social work ethics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with grace and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Proficient in the use of electronic health records and other healthcare IT systems.
- Current and valid social work license.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
