Responsibilities:

1. Create, revise, and maintain detailed specifications for all engineering projects, ensuring they meet both internal and external standards.
2. Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and translate them into clear, concise, and comprehensive specifications.
3. Review and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents to create accurate and detailed specifications.
4. Ensure all specifications are compliant with relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
5. Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure specifications align with project goals and objectives.
6. Conduct regular specification audits to ensure they are up-to-date, accurate, and effective.
7. Provide technical writing support and guidance to engineering teams as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, specifically in creating and maintaining specifications within the engineering industry.
3. Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and actionable specifications.
4. Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other technical writing tools.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines related to engineering specifications.
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
